Fermi
Linux v5.2.1 Workgroups |
With Fermi Linux v5.2.1 we have introduced the concept of "workgroups."
This is basically a modification of Red Hat's "Installation Classes" code
but we have added many more choices. This is to enable distinct groups
at Fermilab to specify the packages they want installed as well as set
and configuration parameters, during the course of a normal installation.
The document Fermi
Linux 5.2.1 Workgroup Customization Design Spec provides a fairly detailed
outline of what can be done and how we did it.
The table below lists information on the workgroups that are currently
available for installation. Please go to the "workgroup"
web page to see if they have any "special" instructions. The "size"
field below gives a rough estimate of how much disk is used for the install.
It is NOT a suggestion of partitions sizes. You will need an additional 50MB for install scratch space.
